Shapes And Texture

An elongated pool of water opened up on the lake, separated from the shore by a strip of ice remaining against the rocks. I looked for simple arrangements of shapes using the ice, water and snow, each of which had distinct textures. The wind was quite strong making sizeable ripples on the water, the ice sheet being quite smooth and the snow kind of lumpy.

I used the 100-400 telephoto to get in close, trying different angles to change the proportions and shapes. I think I got a few interesting shots.
