Impression, Sunrise

I seem to be specializing these days in photos of water and sky: in particular, the juncture where they meet.

At the edges of things, magic lives.

I think I could spend the rest of my life happily photographing reflections of the sky.

I may understand now why Monet spent years painting the reflections he saw on his lily ponds at Giverny.

The variations on a theme - the changing light, the colors, the shadows, the reflections - it is a show well worth watching.

Welcome to my impressionist sunrise.

Here is a water song to accompany this image: Cool Change, by the Little River Band.
