iZotope RX session

Today's blip was prepared by James McLachlan, one of the members of the student team working on podcast creation. James says:

This image shows a session of iZotope RX. This application is used to clean up recorded dialogue. Advanced Artificial Intelligence tools remove breaths, mouth clicks, plosives, and any other undesirable sounds from recordings.

In the image, you can see that the application uses a spectrogram instead of a traditional waveform view. This allows us to see the information about the frequency of the sound, as well as volume. It is similar to a heat map: here the lighter the colour, the louder the sound.

This application will be used on all the dialogue recordings to ensure that we have the cleanest dialogue possible for a comfortable listening experience in the final versions of the podcast series.
