Golden Quintet

Phil and I have been taking turns doing the household shopping at the Community Food Co-op during the pandemic. He often brings flowers for me, as well as what was on the food list. 

Yellow tulips are my favorite. They brighten the kitchen, making meal planning and preparation much more pleasant, and I enjoy watching the flowers' gradual changes as they age. I've started saving the aged petals as they fall, still relishing that golden glow.

And these days, that yellow reminds me of the brave, resilient citizens of Ukraine. May they persevere!
