Signs of spring

T came across the local, tiny painted Turtle on her walk this afternoon. She relocated him to a safer spot off the path, to a spot nearer the marsh. Our day lilies are popping up and a hellibore that I got free at the end of a plant sale is blooming by the patio. The forced forsythia and lilac buds bring spring inside.

We had our sister in law and a mutual friend over for coffee, bakery delights and fresh fruit this morning. After a leisurely chat we moved on to the TV room to watch the movie Belfast together. It was wonderfully done, showcasing a family caught in the  terrifying days of the "Troubles" in Northern Ireland.

This day came in cloudy, but warm and sunny by early afternoon.
