After the Rain
There was a little urgently needed rain.
So the spring flowers were full of droplets. Here: a Scillia Siberica
Coincidence?
Two week ago, our son P. asked me if I know how his first teacher Ms. K. was doing. Unfortunately I had no idea. We live in the same village, but I hadn't seen her for about 10 years. She is retired since many years.
Today, when we started our walk with Omo (who is doing fine again!), we met a couple at the entrance of our neighbours. It was Ms. K. and her husband! What a big surprise. It really made my day week :-D
Ms. K. is a once in a lifetime teacher. Our kids had a lot of teachers during their school time, but Ms. K. was the best. She cared for every child in her class with love, creativity and consequence. She remembered P. very wel, she knew about his siblings, our name and even her husband had to remember an episode:
When P. had his first communion, there was another another service on Monday morning. Ms. K. wanted to come to the service with the class to honour P. . But the priest didn't want the protestant (!) class to attend, which for me was an absolute absurdity. After a heated argument, we got the okay, the class was allowed to come, but the pastor let the chaplain represent him. Maybe it's not so strange that Ms. K. remembers P. after all. ;-)
She even recorded a video message for P. with kind regards.
She really is a very special teacher!
P. was blown away!
And I was happy that I had the opportunity to tell her what a special teacher she was and that a lot of pupils were really lucky ones!
