Red

This building is one of the local Libraries, owned by the council.

I called in to return books this afternoon.
It is a fairly new building, but it was still damaged structually in the earthquakes, and was closed for some time for repairs.
These bright red steel beams are in place now to support the building, and I like the way they have thought to paint them this colour instead of just leaving them unpainted and looking cold and scary.
It is quite common around town now to see buildings with this sort of external support system in place........not all painted in nice colours though!
