Common Blue

A common blue butterfly graced our garden this morning. Its frequent flitting in straight lines, and at speed, was a remarkable sight. (And a photographic challenge to Blip it, that defeated me!)

The sun stayed out until the forecast cloud snuck in at 18h.

We took our bikes for a spin round the village perimeter this afternoon. These fields near our house had some sheep in them for a few weeks. Their recent disappearance and the imminence of Easter barbecues has been noted!

Noted too, have been the lengthy delays of fresh produce bound for Europe, but currently stranded on the M20 motorway, for 20 miles waiting to board ferries at Dover.

We have a busy social week ahead of us and are hoping that the dreaded new policy of “living with Covid” does not disrupt things too much.
