Dripping with lichen

An early morning potter down to the waterside. This also enabled us both to get blips as well as a bit of exercise. The slight fly in the ointment was that I managed to drop the cottage key, and only realised this when we got back to the cottage. We retraced our steps and managed to find it on the ground. That was lucky.

It was then head down - remarkably successfully - for the rest of the day, and then I went for another potter out to the main road and along there for a while. It wasn’t too busy, luckily.

After dinner, we went for a drive around the environs and ended up in Tain, which is a really sweet little town, with some remarkably nice buildings in it.  The drive back up the firth to the cottage through the twilight was also very pleasant. It is great being somewhere so quiet for a while.
