Blackbird

This handsome chap has been nest building in our Escallonia bushes and his lady friend seems to be lending a helping hand.

This has happened the last few years but they have ended up nesting elsewhere so we'll need to wait and see what happens this year. It may well be that once the lawn mower puts in an appearance they think of somewhere quieter. Running at right angles to the Escallonia is a mass of honeysuckle and that seems to have been attracting the attention of Robins.
