The Cost Of The Cross

Tonight's Good Friday service was a simple service filled with scripture readings and congregational  songs  and a short message from Pastor Wes focusing on the price that God was willing to pay to for Christ be the propitiation (satisfaction of our sin debt) for our sin so that we could spend eternity with Him.  Not for anything that we could do that would make us worthy or that He needs from us, but because He loves us.  Good Friday is not a pretty story, but it was necessary and we thanked God for it as we took Communion, and we looked forward to the the glorious light of Sunday morning........
