Sally Mair - Loving life

Silverknowes

Happy Easter to all in blipland. I think this is the first time in a very long time that i haven't been in church on Easter Sunday. My cold is improving though so normal service should be resumed soon.
This weekend was Ali's much postponed hen weekend so she and 10 other friends were staying in a house near Arrochar. Katy should have been there too but she was away with the family skiing and only got back late last night-no taxis at the airport at around 10 pm folks, be warned!
This morning though she got in her car at 6.30 and drove across to Arrochar to cook breakfast for the revellers. I think Ali was suitably surprised and pleased. I do love the fact that in spite of the age difference my girls are so close. Katy popped in here on her way back this morning, it was lovely to see her looking so well and relaxed. They had a wonderful weeks skiing.
Joyce and I went for a walk at Silverknowes this afternoon, there was a very high tide, hardly any space to walk on the sand along to Cramond. It was fairly busy, the beach cafe was only doing take aways, although they did have live music. We wanted to sit down though so gave it a miss. The blip is the view across to Cramond Island. The sun didn't quite manage to fulfil its promise today and so it was mainly warm but hazy. Very pleasant conditions for a stroll.
Roast lamb for dinner with the last of last year's potato crop, delicious.
