University
After a morning's coding I went into Edinburgh for the sort of meeting that universities are for. A researcher in Informatics and his PhD student were finding their own way to solve tiny examples of what our solver handles expertly, and after playing with one of their examples last night I have them lots of advice on how they might be more efficient. In return, I got to see an interesting application of the mathematical problem we solve. Afterwards I had a quick Turfing tour around central Edinburgh, including the quadrangle of the University's "Old" College. It's a fine piece of architecture and all the better for its centre being grassed rather than a car park.
