After yesterday's short(ish) walk, we managed a slightly longer one today. Parked at the old church of St Martin in Martindale, popped up Steel Knotts, the summit of which is known as Pikeawassa (extra 1) and is described as one of the pointiest summits in the lakes. Then over Beda Fell, past Angle Tarn and Brock Crags, to the 2278' high Rest Dodd (main pic is of the Satura Crag gate looking up Rest Dodd) and finally over The Nab, the only permitted route is across the peat hags (Extra 2) on the depression between Rest Dodd and the summit of the Nab. The rest of the fell being a Red Deer reserve owned by Dalemain Estates. We did see a herd of deer on the far left of the Nab, but were far enough away not to disturb them.

We managed a not unimpressive 11.9 miles, and 2900 feet of climbing.

All pics look best large on Black, and I think the mono treatment suits the 1st & 2nd pics.
