Lathyrus Odoratus

Convallaria

First thing every morning the spaniel and I have a stroll around the garden before breakfast so that I can see what  needs doing and he can check for rabbit incursions. This morning I noticed that the Lily of the Valley (Convallaria majalis) that grow underneath one of my Rhododendron bushes is just starting to come into flower, as are the Rhododendrons themselves.

After an uneventful morning walk with the spaniel I spent the afternoon in Surrey painting the stairwell walls and ceiling at my son's place, a job that I started back in February just before my father died.
