Young and energetic ...

... which I am not! An emergency blip because I’m spaced out with tiredness. It’s been a hectic but very happy weekend, with family staying, and other family visiting, so some young and very energetic people around. Granny and Grandpa have loved seeing them, but are very grateful for a quiet evening to rest and recover.

Which is just as well, because we have a carpenter coming at 8.00 tomorrow morning (Bank Holiday Monday in the UK) to make repairs and alterations to our front door and a couple of internal doors. It was the only day he could fit us in and, as we’ve been waiting for about three months to get the job done, we could hardly refuse! So it will be an early night tonight so we’re up and dressed in good time tomorrow.

This robin looks quite young to me, and he was very energetically flitting about the garden just now, going from feeder to feeder, on to the parterre, over to the twisted hazel tree and back again, hardly stopping for a second. I was lucky to get him to stay still enough to take this shot.

Oh, and I've put a photo of the 'sandwich' I made for L yesterday. It's her photo, taken on her own phone, but it came out better than mine! Granny must try harder.
