Right choice!

We definitely made the right choice of destination today!

Had a wander by the river where we saw Moorhen chicks & several goslings .... very sweet.

Then we saw a flash of blue speed past ...... a Kingfisher!

Lucky for us it then flew back & perched on the opposite side of the river ...... I managed to get a few reasonable photos! What a treat! Yay!

It was the female, which you can tell by the orange on the lower part of the beak. Could have perched closer but mustn't grumble! Lol!!!
