Alder Tree Catkin

The larger of the two catkins are male, which I have just
googled. Plus a couple of Aliens , they are NOT camera
glare they are my friendly Aliens !!!!!
This morning I have been doing a bit of catch up with
the horrible housework, the even horribler ironing and
preparing supper, homemade burgers, Granddaughter
no1 and her lovely Mum are coming for supper, so this
was her request, I have given her the recipe but she says
they never turn out the same.
