Rules can be broken

Every peony knows, if you uproot one of the clan it will turn up its toes and shrivel. Now, there was one in the garden at the rental house. When we moved into the refurb house at the end of the autumn, after the peony had died back, we knew that it would be mown flat. So we rescued it anyway. and crossed our fingers.
