I was persuaded...

...to attend a race meeting at Redcar today, in part so that my partner, Gary, could deputise for a horse-owning friend  who had entries at two different courses.

Here he is with jockey Danny Tudhope who was riding Hajjam.

The horse went on to win the race (seen in the lead in my extra).
