Hanging On

Yesterday local blippers, Pete and Liz in retirement , posted an image from the local reserve of a couple of grebes dancing. I thought that I would go down there and see if I could get a shot too.

There were a number of pairs of grebes around including one pair which were on and off the nest close to the hide. But they did not display. I did see another pair which were much further away giving a display.

I have settled for this Greater Spotted Woodpecker which was at the feeding station.
