Prohibition

15.1C, windy, grey first thing and brightening later.

Apothecary7 had her day off today. One of those occasions when she has a Saturday and a Monday making a nice long weekend. For something different today we headed off towards Perth and visited a couple of antique centres. We weren't really looking for anything in particular. In the last place we visited we saw this bottle labelled 'prohibition bottle'. Intrigued, we looked at the base and saw what you can see above. We decided it would make an unusual addition to our little collection of stoneware jars and ink bottles :-)

The same antique centre has a very nice cafe called The Tufted Duck.
We enjoyed a leisurely lunch.

I took Maeve the Deerhound for a walk later this afternoon. The soil was blowing everywhere again. Radio Scotland news said it was causing problems between Forfar and Dundee on the main road.
