Birds not of a feather

As the city starts to have longer dry periods, Snells Beach has continued with almost constant drizzle. Just after midday it seemed dry, but by the time I'd got my shoes on, it was oozing water onto anyone outside. I went for a jog through Highfield Reserve, and saw no other person. Other than a few in cars as I was coming back down the road.

Not the best conditions for taking photos, either. However, I am quietly pleased with this photo which shows that seeking food from under some tress were sparrows, Californian Quail, and a couple of spotted doves. I had seen a couple of them on fence posts. It was when I was trying to find a better angle, that I realised there were multiple birds under a macrocarpa tree.
