A watery sun

An unexpected day at home, I haven't left the garden - weeding, hacking, tying up daffs, digging. The sun made a watery appearance, but it's warm.

Last night's talk was not good. The speaker arrived later than her audience and then hopelessly failed to come to terms with her technology - if you are speaking in front of an audience of about 60 people don't you make sure your laptop connects to your projector? In the end Himself had to go to her assistance. Once she got going, she turned out to be a very poor speaker too - every other word being  er or um or ah. Her typography was black against a dark blue background so illegible and her photographs all contained her shadow looming over the monument. And only about two local monuments were mentioned. I was fuming. Himself was quite amused for I don't often fume that seriously.

And I'm afraid I have to admit defeat about finding anything out about the odd gate from yesterday, other than it was one of the entrance into Lord Bantry's deerpark. Lord Bantry was very keen on hunting for he had a massive park here and another on an island across the bay. Rather oddly, his ancestors have hunting rights on our land! I'm not sure what they'd be hunting or when the last time was that the rights were excercised!

Edit: son #2 has finally reached 200 blips, do take a peek
