Disappointment

We bought this planted pot to give to J and M for their birthdays. It was to be given to them tomorrow when a birthday lunch was arranged for them. N went out early this morning with an extensive shopping list and I had the menu worked out in detail. It is such a long time since we entertained anyone for a meal. N was no sooner back from the shops than we had a message from Jem to say that they both have Covid and wouldn’t be able to come! So disappointing! It is such a long time since they came for a meal and we were looking forward to entertaining them. Luckily they have only mild symptoms. This is the second time Jem has had it, the third for Mikki.
So we get to enjoy the planter until such time as they are able to visit!
