DOORS IN OSLO # 47
The red door to Knut-tower from about 1300.
The tower is one of the flanking towers to the northwest at Akershus fortress. In the tower there was a long period a prison cell. The name refers to Knight Knut Alvsson who reportedly remained unburied in the tower for 12 years after being killed by Henrik Krumme Dike in 1502.
I guess that is why people see a ghost there.... :-)
The tower is in recent times partly rebuilt on the old walls.
