Old timers

The cake of yesterday's blip came from this 1971 Whakatane NZ cookbook - Whakatane being where I did most of my schooling. The extra is the recipe, but I adapted it using: 3 tbsp coconut instead of cocoa; gluten free flour; 1/2 cup yoghurt not milk. The choc version is a failsafe, and I have MrJ's word that the present coconut one is pretty yummy. The book may be dog-eared, tattered, and stained, but I wouldn't give it away for quids!
