Castletownroche mill

Another long day.  Two viewings, 240 miles driven.  First was a house that we had previously rated "orange" in our list - i.e. probably not right for us, but might be worth a look if we're in the area.  We were right - not the right house for us.  Though actually, the house was quite nice.  But SO MUCH TARMAC AND CONCRETE which the Estate Agent lauded as "clean" and "easy to maintain" but which we felt was sterile.  Oh well, on to the next.

We had time between the viewings to get lunch and then pop to An Post to post off the signed document to our conveyancer.  And the second house was lovely.  A lovely garden, gorgeous views, house plenty big enough, garage/workshop - we could see how to make that work without too much difficulty .  Reservations - not central, and the garden is bigger than we would like - concerns about maintaining it.  But rated 8 to 9 out of 10.

Back to Fermoy to charge up, and then we stopped in Castletownroche (our lodgings are just outside the village) to catch the late evening sun on the mill.

Moving on tomorrow.
