Old films

There are some short movie strips on 16mm film that my father made with a big film camera during the war years in the 1940's. I remember that in one of them we were playing war in our yard. I was six or seven at the time. I remember having a wooden toy gun, running, and then throwing myself on the ground the way we had seen it done in the war movies that were shown in movie theaters before the main film started.
 
I have not been able to find any firm who could transfer the material in digital form onto a hard disc or a DVD disc.
