We set off early to Romaldkirk walking along the old trackbed of the Tees Valley Railway. We visited the saxon church and had morning coffee at the 18th century Rose and Crown Inn. We returned to base on the Teesdale way riverside walk. We stopped to eat our sarnies at a pretty spot, I was compelled to climb down to the peaty brown waters edge to take a few photos. Nice to see My fellow walkers are warming to their blip posing duties.

Another stonking hot day so spent the afternoon in the cool of our cottage.
