Late show at sunset

The sun shone a bit this morning but not in a way to provide photo interest. I waited but the day got greyer, with a massive rain pattern out to sea but not making landfall. There was some sunlight to the west but the east was so dark with cloud there was no moon to be seen at the time of the moonrise. I'd love to have seen this full moon.

The combination of cloud and sun put on an amazing show at the end of the day. One of my extras shows it resembling a tidal wave; the other shows the view to the north.
