Surrey cottage

I crossed the county today to lunch with two old WI friends. A good lunch and a stimulating chat, it was so good, a real tonic. I had Coronation Chicken salad, and it was delicious.
I stopped on my way home in the pretty village of Brockham Green. There is a large village green lined with ancient cottages and, on one side, the pretty church. Outside the church is a flagpole and I was hoping to show the Ukraine flag flying alongside the Union Jack, but the flags hung limply in the warm air. You can just see Ukraine’s yellow and blue.
