MM: The POWER of Nature
I've been following the heat apocalypse in the UK and Europe. The world is on fire. No more about the heat and humidity here....for a while, because I can't help myself.
The day began with some sun but that didn't last long. I managed to get out with my camera, and from the car, surveyed some of the damage from the storms of the last two days. This is a downed Palo Verde tree in our local hospital parking lot. Well, it's not our local hospital anymore. It closed permanently on 30 June.
I did this with the Nik. I've never taken advantage of the full Nik collection so I thought it was time to experiment. This was the Analog double exposure setting used after the Silver Efex. It's always fun to experiment.
I thought for the mono Monday theme "power" that nothing could better demonstrate it more than Mother Nature.

A taxi passenger tapped the driver on the shoulder to ask him a question.
The driver screamed, lost control of the car, nearly hit a bus, went up on the footpath, and stopped inches from a shop window.
For a second, everything was quiet in the cab. Then the driver said, "Look, mate, don't ever do that again. You scared the living daylights out of me!"
The passenger apologized and said, "I didn't realize that a little tap would scare you so much."
The driver replied, "Sorry, it's not really your fault. Today is my first day as a cab driver — I've been driving a funeral van for the last 25 years."
