Black forest gateau

Even though it was 30 something degrees Celsius, you have to try it when you're in the Black Forest, don't you?

We always had it for Xmas, as none of us like Christmas pudding. My mum usually drowned her Black Forest cake layers in rum :)
This cake feels rather sober in comparison (!) and less chocolatey. I did walk off the calories though! :)
