Greys Court, Oxfordshire

The very last of the "stately pile collages", I promise!  This one is Greys Court -- a really lovely and very old manor house that was mentioned in the  Domesday Book in 1086.  Visiting it felt like entering someone's cozy home while the owners had just stepped out for a bit.  There was also a really lovely, meandering walled garden, an ancient tower, and the most amazing wisteria colonnade, planted 137 years ago.  The roots and twisting trunks were incredible to behold.

Extra shows Mr. W having an "Alice in Wonderland moment" as he stooped down low and squeezed through a tiny archway in the gardens!

This afternoon we returned our trusty (and hideously orange) rental car at Heathrow Airport, where we will spend tonight in preparation for an early flight (we HOPE!) in the morning, bound for Copenhagen, Denmark.

Extra extra shows all the places we drove to while we were in England!
