Diary of an Edinburgher

The weather forecast said there was more than a 50% chance of rain today, but they were wrong. It was muggy and overcast, so JR brought her umbrella when we went out for a walk, and was delighted when there were a few wee spots of ‘rain’…

This afternoon, we all took a walk round to pick up a John Lewis ‘click and collect’ at Waitrose - SO handy! I then got the bus home with the purchase, while the fitness fanatics walked.

I took advantage of being on my own for a while in the afternoon, and watched the last episode of ‘Breaking Bad’. 62 episodes, over 5 seasons!!! It has taken me a very long time - I could work it out exactly, but don’t want to. Apart from the countless killings, graphic violence and drug dealing storyline, it was a gripping story and great acting. Though I can’t imagine that the sleepy town of Albuquerque, New Mexico, (where it was all filmed) will appreciate the gift from the producers of two statues of the lead characters, who were criminal, drug making, ruthless murderers…

We passed this big steam roller, and Archie insisted that he was allowed to sit up on it. He wanted to sit on the driver’s seat and hold the steering wheel, but was not allowed, so he looks a bit sulky…
