Cape Foulwind lighthouse

Working lighthouse on the West Coast of NZ - warning ships coming up the coast. there is a group of islands called the Steeples just off the coast here, and it's a very wild coast. There have been wrecks here, one in the early days which caused a tragic loss of life, but other tragedies still happening especially people being lost crossing the Buller River bar a little further up the coast.
