Clematis Tangutica

Unlike most plants (i think) the seed head of this Clematis aka old mans beard, is distinctly more interesting than its flower head. Whilst the striking bright yellow bell shaped flower is unique it does little to evoke any emotional response from me.
That said, the seed head looks amazing and demands more attention as a photographic subject.
A great time to be wheeling round the garden as both fruits and flowers ripen and produce an amazing array of shapes and textured seed or fruits
