What a wonderful day

Everything is so much better in the morning!

We are so happy with this villa which is just amazing. Lots of grounds, olive trees, fabulous views, en suite bedrooms which work perfectly. We have a nice north-facing room with air con, and easy access out to a first floor terrace which catches a slight breeze. The children share 2 rooms on the ground floor so when they get up they can forage for food and turn on TV or play about without any of it disturbing the adults.

The pool is big, lots of shade and loungers etc. so the children spent most of the day there, well protected from sun with long sleeved clothing. James taught Ella how to dive, really patiently, and she was so nice praising him for his help. It’s been totally chilled and relaxing. - Till 6pm when Phil managed to sort out the TV via his phone to show the England V Germany Euro football finals. The children banned me from the room because they thought a Scottish person might put a jinx on the team. The daughters and I had a gin (or 2) till #2 daughter made dinner, her specialty, spaghetti splodge.

It’s hard to come to terms with, that all my grandchildren are English (Thomas is now Irish with his EU passport but he doesn’t feel it) but here’s the joy on England’s women’s fantastic win. They were magnificent.
