One can perhaps say one has arrived in a new community when the hardware shop man dips his wings and circles down to wave before powering off into the blue.

The first tomato harvest for passata as an extra along with one of squash and plums. We made 5kg of jam. And a quince which rather miraculously has appeared on what I wrongly thought was a medlar tree.

Lovely the way some of the neglected trees I’ve pruned and cared for have produced fruit.
