An Odd Vessel

…isn’t it! — In fact it’s a double blip of Breitenhagen Elbe Ferry, on duty again since 4 August. The left half of the picture is taken from the car driver’s seat (on port side) looking ahead, the right half is looking astern, including a glimpse of the upstilted Marie Gerda restaurant ship on the west bank of the river. For all who prefer a more reasonable view from the ferry, better visit this! — In the extra is another odd sight. It’s the driver’s cab of a Köf, a disused diesel shunter from the sugar beet transport, put down as a monument at Sachsendorf, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.
