Dead and Alive

(Update: You’ve reminded me it’s my1825 blips today. 5 YEARS. Who would have thought. Been fun …. also getting to make some lovely virtual friends etc.)

The title describes me today …. also the photo of beautiful old graves in this attractive churchyard with an abundance of ‘life’ …. pines trees, wild flowers, and grass.

Went out after Mr B’s tennis, by then far too hot for me, to return an Amazon purchase before the ‘heatwave’ (35C+ on the way).

Tesco’s Evri label printing machine said QR code wasn’t valid. Amazon sent new code for the the Post Office (“Tesco doesn’t do package-less returns”- mine was packed?).
The internet signal dropped, so couldn’t get the QR code. The air-less Post Office was closing, but kindly waited while I went downstairs to the street for a better signal.

Heat got to me. Luckily there was a chair nearby and I revived. Too much standing in Tesco, the Post Office & outside in the sun trying to get the code back.

On a happier note, renewed car insurance. I was about to accept the renewal quote + £25. Sensibly checked comparison sites. Found a quote matching current one. Called current insurance to cancel. The helpful agent reduced quote by £75, with extra benefits!. Unbelievable. Lowest for years

Blip taken in St Peter’s churchyard. We have a good shaded route down into town through there. For Mole’s Mono Monday theme ‘Juxtaposition’.

NB Mary Shelley, author of Frankenstein, is interred here, reputedly along with the heart of her husband, the poet Percy Bysshe Shelley.
