Going home

After a hot day baling the straw we have sold to our neighbour from the field he chugs up the hill with the last load on his way home.  He and his son have been baling all day and now have several trailers to unload and store for the winter for bedding for their dairy cows.  Extra photo: more bales.

The oats are not quite ready to harvest so T has been baling large round bales for our own cattle.  We have a lot of straw and some of it will be chopped to rot on the ground.

Behind the gate in the wall is a wasps nest and they have been chewing the surface off the gate to use for constructing the nest.
