Before the rain came...

At last! Rain. Except of course it's now steamingly humid and stickily hot! Ah well, all the water catchment tanks are full again, as is the pond... didn't take long in the torrential downpours - that probably mostly ran off the grass to the drains rather than soak into the rock hard ground...

Before that, the bees were making a last foray into the flowers that had survived the heatwave. This one looks like he's standing upright, but he's just about to launch himself from one floret of verbena bonariensis to another. I haven't done a bee on flower for some time, so for Tiny Tuesday it'll do. But do go large to see the even tinier mini beast in front of him.

Blips might be randomly delayed now for a few days as we drive up to North Wales and Chester for Phil's funeral.
