When it started to rain gently at 9.20 I thought the forecast was coming true - however it stopped again about 15 minutes later having barely wetted the road and became yet another dry day, albeit quite a lot cooler.
About 30 miles away, in Lincolnshire, they had 146mm of rain in 24 hours - which is about1/3 of this year’s rain (see ‘extra’)
