Badgworthy Water

A leisurely morning with a quick pop into Porlock for some shopping . We chose to park at the newly acquired Lorna Doone Farm for a coffee then a stroll by the water . We sat on the rocks and enjoyed the changing light - the weather was really variable, one minute hot then a cooling breeze . Lots of people were camping at Cloud Farm and taking advantage of the stream . Spotted a grey wagtail hopping on the rocks as well as lots of flowers including a littke eye bright flower.

We had a late picnic lunch then found the red deer at Alderman’s Barrow - hinds and calves only . The boys are getting ready for the Autumn rumble .

After dinner, we strolled down to the Weir again and met up with my sister and b-I-l as well as my nephew and his niece who are all caravanning at Burrowhayes.

Such a lovely day , the moor is looking magnificent. We sat out with the bats this evening.
