3K Liverpool

Young Athletes match again today. Preston Harriers team took on local rivals Blackpool, Liverpool Harriers and Macclesfield AC. Second place would have been a good result since Liverpool H are a really strong team and always make the national finals. Anyway at the final tally of event points Preston finished on top with a healthy margin. 1st time ever win over Liverpool H and this was with a weakened team due to injuries and illness. At second place in the league overall we could be heading for the national finals again. 3 matches to go. Cal ran 3k and Steeple chase. It was really windy so fast times not on the cards. I helped out track judging and got a real soaking. Cal's race was held in between the showers.
