Grobust
Grobust beach is a short walk from the village of Pierowall where we're staying. There's always a dramatic view and today the sea was reasonably lively. I've seen it more stormy. It's a must-do walk every time we visit and I think this won't be the only time we're there this year.
Today is our wedding anniversary. It is a long, long time since Cameraman and I were married on a cold Monday in Edinburgh. By way of celebration we are going out for lunch at the new(ish, it was open last year) cafe on the other side of the village. I think we'll eat well and not have to worry about a meal tonight. Our kind children sent us off with a bottle of fizz and we will have a glass of that later. In fact it could be a tin mug of fizz because, in a separate 'bath house', this cottage comes with a sea water hot tub. Oh the decadence of sitting in it with its doors open to the sea.
The sun is coming out. The tide is high up against the wall of the garden. Flora is securely on her lead as you can see in the extra, which is really a blip of Cameraman. We're counting our blessings today.
