More Autumn

In photography it is well documented that good light is the essence of good photography. I don't relate that to this image but the white duck just happened to be in a spot of sunshine when I took this, and stands out like a beacon. Still lots of leaves hanging on to the branches but equally as many on the ground. Today they are rather damp - Jack Frost paid a visit this morning to herald in the month of May. A brilliant sunny day has followed, perfect.

Convention stuff beckoned this morning which meant I had to go into Timaru. On the way home I figured a quick drive through our Botanical Gardens may present a blip...it did.

I am overwhelmed to see srooms sitting at the top spot of Spotlight for the day, thank you all a whole heap for putting them there. :)

A cousin of Doug's arrived this afternoon, we haven't seen here for probably 30+ years, but we did recognise her. How neat to go down memory lane with her, we now have her email and know where she lives - we all intend to keep in touch.

On building stuff.....our roof is to be replaced. It seems that there was two different batches of black iron put up and is very noticeable. This will be done in the spring when the lawn will be dryer. Scaffolding will have to be erected. You can see the difference here.

We are having a visitor for dinner tonight.....the husband of a lucky lady who is gallivanting around Dorset at this time :)
