Anemones

A strange day with conversations about flags first thing but not a lot of chat from the students about the death of the Queen. The news bookended my day with the radio alarm and in the car on the way into work and sitting listening to the King's speech in the supermarket car park at the end of it. In between, there was time to talk to staff about new things and some sense of purpose along the way. Home to Bailey and no torrential rain which meant that I could get a garden blip after tea of the established Japanese anemone and check up on the two new ones, both of which have several buds so they must like their new locations. And week one is done with the promise of a dry weekend ahead.
